All Good Things Come To An End, well…not ALL, but A LOT!

March 20th, 2011 | By

They say all good things come to an end…well I don’t think they all do, but there are definitely a lot. I love the song Break Even by The Script. It is such a real and truthful song. I wanted to provide a different perspective of that situation on my mixtape “The Introduction”. It is basically providing the other perspective, as to why I left. Why things came to an end. You think I am free and without damage. Even though it hurt, I still had to leave, becuase being with you hurt even more. OUCH! anyway, I used the same track and even the same rhythm. Just the words convey a different meaning. I hope you take the time to listen and tell me what you think! Tell me if you have seen this side of heartache!

Now, when you watched the video, I am sure that you noticed all of the pictures, letters, andtexts. Hey…they’re things that have ended. *chuckle*. Anyway, if you liked what you heard, please feel free to download the song here —–> http://www.mediafire.com/?6rzgpqxtoavz066

Love you guys!

Angela Carter
Born in Dallas, Texas, Angela Carter started singing at the age of seven. From dance classes to singing in the church choir, Angela was a natural. Always actively working on bettering herself as a singer her recent pursuits have included tryouts for MTV’s Making The Band 3, American Idol, and an ABC Music Show. She didn’t stop there! She gained something new from each experience adding fuel to her fire. She began writing her own lyrics to songs such as “Cupids Lies” and “Love Anymore.” Writing has always been a strong suit beginning as far back as elementary school poetry writing sessions with her best friend. These songs ranged from heart felt crushes to hurtful and inspirational journeys. Expressing herself wasn’t always easy but opening her soul allowed her to produce songs that are unique and based off of pure emotion. All songs are written and co-produced by Angela. With many in her arsenal Angela’s LOVE for singing has brought her music to a standard new to many ears. It also has exposed her talent and love for music to a wide spectrum of audiences and has gained their appreciation. Dallas presents to you for the first time the talented, beautiful songstress and pop sensation, Angela.

Broadway
Born January 19, 1988 in the city of Dallas, Texas to Glenda Cole, Corey Stevenson, known to world as Broadway, is an R&B singer/songwriter whom is no stranger to exceptional music. Growing up in a musical household where his mother and brother were also skillful vocalist, Broadway began his singing career at the age of 6 at Golden Meadows Elementary where he participated as a member of the choir. He continued partaking in this choir throughout all of his elementary years and later began taking on solo pieces. After participating in a breath-taking performance to which he received a round of applause as well as requests for an encore, Broadway, at the early age of 9, realized his talent and sought to maintain and perfect it. Gravitating towards the melodic sounds of music, Broadway then began focusing on his favorite artists by studying various styles and voice patterns so as to develop himself. Throughout his research and repetition with artists such as Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, and Ella Fitzgerald, Broadway acquired range ability. The new highly anticipated album “My Love Song” is currently the topic of conversation. God fearing, gifted, focused, and motivated, Broadway is determined to make a name for himself and bring back the art in R&B music.

Quintein Moore
Quentin Moore is “The Last Mohican” of southern-style soul. In an era where Black music is dominated by electronic samples and rappers, this Singer/Songwriter/ Musician breaks the mold with live instruments and organic melodies. Born and raised in the Austin, Texas, dubbed the live music capitol of the world, Quentin developed an ear for soul in the church. With a plethora of musical instruments under his belt, he continues to reinvent himself with a style that is often compared to artists ranging from Marvin Gaye to Jamie Foxx, but remains all his own. This soul man commands the audience in every live performance with his addictive energy, exceptional musicianship, and soul-wrenching, finger-snappin compositions. With his popularity on the rise throughout the southern United States, Quentin Moore has shared the stage with internationally-recognized artists such as Innercity Allstars, Dwele, Ollie Woodson (The Temptations), Chaka Khan, and Angela Blair, for whom he acted as Musical Director.

Miss KeKe
Lyrics. Style. Image. Keke, also known as Kelechi Onwumere, is a 23 yr old female emcee/singer/songwriter that encompasses all of these characteristics and more. With both of her parents being of Nigerian descent, Keke takes pride in her culture and continuously embraces it. Although she has never been to Nigeria, her diverse array of musical inheritance is beyond measure. Keke began her interest in music at the early age of five when she developed an interest in singing. Five years later she expanded into the field of Hip Hop. At the young age of 10, the fifth grader started writing rhymes to test her lyrical abilities. “I was really young so I just used to write down words that rhymed, and see which ones made sense” says the talented rapper. “From ages 10 -12, I was trying to perfect my writing skills. At ages 12-14, I wanted to master the art of freestyling, and from the ages of 14-16, I learned how to battle” says Keke. Keke released her first album entitled “The Story of a Freestyle Pro” in 2003 at the age of 15. The album carried the hit song “Freestyle Pro” which received radio spins on 89.3 KNON and 97.9 The Beat. What’s next for Keke? The possibilities are limitless. One thing she believes is, with God on her side, she has nowhere to go but up.

Lyrically often described as the female version of Zach de la Rocha with a melodic twist. Musically described as what the street connecting Mexican Folk to Western Hip Hop would sound like.

Micah Seth
My mission with my music is to simply and unapologetically be myself. Whatever that may entail. Sweet, bitter, soulful, goofy, heavy, gritty, emotional, funny, spiritual, conflicting etc…. I have always explained my music as just another extension of who I am and what makes me ME. Not what MAKES me. My faith in Christ and what I deal with everyday, be it girl problems or tug of war thoughts and emotions, are a big part of what I write about. I’ve tried to write typical “radio friendly” stuff but it doesn’t come naturally. (Hence the word TRY)… As far as my musical background, I’ve always played drums since I was 7 and during high school picked up piano and guitar mainly by ear. Now I do tracks. With live instruments here and there everything done by me except violin. I believe that’s a big part of what makes my sound so unique because I have complete creative control over everything. (you’d be surprised at what kind of silly/random/ghetto things I’ve used to make certain noises in certain songs.) Not until recently have I been exploring other peoples tracks and actually my latest single Searching for the Light was done by a producer Doug from Boston. Its very important to me that I bring other talented people with me along the way so they can shine too. I also see how my past has affected my music. Grew up in a pretty low-income family. My dad was unfaithful to my mom and they later got divorced. My mom died month before high school began and I then moved in with another family from church that took care of me until I moved out at the age of 21. So that’s me in a nutshell… (I like peanuts but not a literal nut shell). I hope to inspire….-MICAH SETH

Ic3
Listening to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony at the tender age of 10, Eyesee3 knew at that moment music would forever be a part of his life. Born on September 12 in Dallas, Texas, the 21-year old entrepreneur is a CEO/Chairman of Beat Up The Block Inc. which not only dabbles in the music industry but also media solutions, specializing in creating custom graphics and video editing. He is a co-founder of Gorilla Cage Entertainment, along with Kenneth Porter (Lil’ Shine) and DaKavinn Williams. Together they came up with the name Gorilla Cage Entertainment (GCE). “We wanted something hood, yet universal but felt that the name may not appeal to some people,” he said. After much thought, GCE became a subsidiary of Beat Up The Block Inc. When it comes to his music, Eyesee3 allows his emotions to speak for him. His music doesn’t begin with making beats or writing lyrics—he uses how he feels for inspiration. Most of his music is about life experiences and things that he has learned from others. He believes that passion, open-mindedness, and networking are key ingredients to being successful. To him, music is about the emotion that follows him from the time he wakes up until the time he goes to sleep. This is more than just a hobby—this is his life.
